Following on from the main workshop, several participants made their way to the UNESCO Mixteca Alta Geopark to better understand historic methods of securing water in Oaxaca, Mexico.

After a short journey from Oaxaca City to Santo Domingo Yanhuitlán, a good nights sleep, and a warming breakfast, we headed out into the UNESCO Mixteca Alta Geopark to look at the work being undertaken by UNAM and local stakeholders to improve the geo-environment through reduction of erosion and maintenance of historical sites and practices.
